On Monday we installed the lovely new bird boxes that the children made last week.
Now the birds of Broomwood park have several new safe spaces and children can look on and see them without causing disturbance.
We decided to involve the children (and adults) in the creation of some new bird boxes for the Park as it has lots of birds but nowhere safe for them to nest. We had some wood pre cut and the children assembled them using the power screwdriver before handing over to Paul to drill the opening. This was the first time some of the children had done any kind of woodwork and also the first time using power tools.
